  2. 1/2 kg chicken
  3. 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  4. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  5. 1 tsp lemon juice
  6. 1 tbsps ginger garlic paste
  7. to taste Salt
  8. As required Oil for frying
  9. For chicken korma
  10. 2 bay leaves
  11. 3 cloves
  12. 1 green cardamom
  13. 1 inch cinnamon stick
  14. 5-6 black pepper corn
  15. 2 medium size sliced onion
  16. 1 chopped tomato
  17. 2 tbsps ginger garlic paste
  18. 1 tbsps red chilli powder
  19. 1 tsp cumin powder
  20. 2 tsp coriander powder
  21. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  22. 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  23. 1&1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  24. 3-4 slit green chilli
  25. 1 tbsps curd
  26. to taste Salt
  27. 2-3 tbsps oil
  28. For rice
  29. 2 cup soaked basmati rice
  30. 2 bay leaves
  31. 1-2 green cardamom
  32. 1 black cardamom
  33. 3-4 cloves
  34. 1 inch cinnamon stick
  35. 1 mace
  36. 5-6 black pepper corn
  37. 2 tsp shahjeera
  38. to taste Salt
  39. 1 tbsps refined oil
  40. For garnishing
  41. 1 large size fried onion
  42. 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves
  43. 1/2 tsp yellow food colour
  44. 1 tsp kewra water (optional)

Instructions to make to make Chicken biryani

  1. First take a bowl add chicken pieces and 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste turmeric powder lemon juice black pepper powder and salt, mix it and leaves for 30 minutes.
  2. After 30 minutes fry it and keep aside.
  3. First heat up a pan with oil add all the whole spice and sauté it then add sliced onion, fry it till golden brown then add ginger garlic paste mix it and all the listed masala and give it a good mix. Now add curd and chopped tomato and green chilli and fry it for 7-8 minutes on medium flame till oil separates.
  4. Now add the fried chicken pieces and mix it nicely and add 1/2 cup of water, cover the lid and cook for 10-12 minutes on medium flame.
  5. After 10 minutes open the lid and cook on high flame to remove any excess water and our chicken korma is ready.
  6. Now heat up a vessel with oil add all the whole spices of listed rice ingredients sauté it and add 4 cups of water and salt bring it to boil then add drained rice in it, boil it on high flame till water absorbed then cover and cook for 15 minutes on medium to low flame.
  7. Our korma and rice is ready now it’s to to assemble it.
  8. Take a heavy bottomed vessel put a layer of rice and spread the chicken gravy well and sprinkle some chopped coriander leaves and fried onions and again put remaining rice over it, spread some chopped coriander leaves and fried onion. Sprinkle yellow food colour and kewra water on it and cover the lid very well.
  9. Heat up a tawa and put the vessel on it and put it on dum for 15-20 minutes. And our delicious chicken biryani is ready to serve.
  10. Serve with raita or salad.
